ñ Click the pictures above to book the Pueblo Bonito - Mazatlan.
These three resorts offer the service, fine dining and peace you desire for your time after surfing.
Staffing is is outstanding. Secure for children. Families just can't go wrong here. Closed off from annoying beach vendors. Pueblo Bonitos hotels and El Cid Marina's facility score highest for food and staffing in Mazatlan. If you stay at either, book European [avoid dinner meal plan]. Surfers won't eat what you pay for. Mazatlan just has too many great seafood and Mexican Restaurants close by to ignore.
If you choose to stay at The East Pacific Surf House or our condominium resort, We will design plenty of great dinners right at home - including steaks, tacos, oysters, giant shrimp, lobster and pasta. Or other items by request... |

Pueblo

Top of the heap, Meditterranian-style. You will think you've just set foot on the nicest property on the island of Cyprus. Get ready to be blown alway, by the pools, the grounds - basically everything.

Pueblo
Bonito

Quiet, beautiful property, not as spacious as the fine dining - 1 mile from Party Central and shopping. Close to golf courses, deep-sea fishing docks.

Hotel
Playa Mazatlan is a spacious hotel complex located in the heart of the
Gold Zone. Central to restaurants, shopping and discos, you won't need
a taxi here, because you will be in the middle of everything. With a spectacular
view of Deer Island out front, Playa receives a ton of repeat guests who
just can't get enough. Make sure you check the hotel reviews. We'll make
sure you get a quiet room at a safe distance from Joe's Oyster Bar so
you can get the best possible rest. |

| Beach
vendors.
People use high-pressure sales tactics to sell blankets, sunglasses and other miscellaneous items on some of our beaches in Mazatlan. Sometimes this well-organized scam unfairly targets and embarrasses guests to Mazatlan. We'll steer you clear of any resorts that encourage this nonsense.
Stone Island - [day trip to nowhere a.k.a. Isla de la Piedra]. We have fantastic sights, including the rain forest and the high Sierra. But, please avoid this tourist trap. Sorry. It's just a torturous waste of your precious time. Forget Stone Island.
Noise at night. Before you book, check with us about noise. I'll make sure you get a quiet room after booking.
Hotels with hard, uncomfortable mattresses. Not a huge problem. This is done purely for economic reasons, as harder mattresses simply last longer in commercial usage. We have Tempur Pedic mattress toppers available for clients to use. If you've ever spent a night with Tempur Pedic, it's just outstanding comfort. Due to considerable expense, a deposit is required.
"Trashed" from too many spring breaks - Please avoid these hotels:
I'd be glad to email you a list. But I won't name names here. If you find a deal on a hotel not on our list above - buyer beware. Email us before booking. The hotels left "unamed" here are used by spring break tour-agents, as well as Mexican and Canadian travel agencies to raise their bottom line. New visitors to Mazatlan will be grateful when they end up in a spectacular hotel that cost just a little extra. |

| Crossing
into Mexico****:
If you cross into Mexico at Nuevo Laredo, ask for directions to the Mexican immigration office to obtain your tourist permit. It is located two blocks from the bridge. Or cross at Nogales. You should bring a passport - but, it is not an absolute requirement until 2008 as long as you are not flying in. You can also use a certificate of birth and [driver's license or state ID] to obtain this document. The cost is eighteen dollars. If you fly into Mexico, this process is done automatically for you. I hope the above information has been helpful. Via email we're ready to assist you with any additional questions you might have.
My
email is:
coronapub@yahoo.com I check my messages daily. Or you may call us directly anytime to Mexico. Dial 011 52 669 912 4839 from the U.S.
Perhaps you have been able to see how excited we are about helping you put together a great surf trip.

* The boat: We make every effort to make at least one or two boat trips per week to our best super-secret spots. We can only go during clean, groundswell conditions. If we have squalls, strong winds or hurricanes in the area - we'll postpone boat trips and access these breaks using four-wheel drive. ** Prices do vary - based on what type of trip you book, the number of boat trips you want, and how many people there are in your group. 70 dollars per person per day represents just an example: Two surfers taking in a classic point break w/ our SUV. *** Prices and availability for discount vacation specials fluctuate due to seasonal market factors. Stay in contact with us. When super-low prices go into effect, we'll post them right here. **** Mexican Federales: One final thought...
Just bring a few extra
bucks for discos, beverages, snacks, and your lunches. Some of you may have heard horror stories about Baja and law enforcement. I've surfed Sinaloa for years, and have yet to converse with a cop or federale down here!! [except to say hello].
First of all, my associate, Javier [a Mexican national] and I both speak fluent Spanish. And Sinaloa, and all
of Mexico, will win over, soon. |
